Leo Bonassera 'Mr' with hat - 5⅛" (130 mm) high.

Bonassera, Leo

Leo Bonassera made imaginative, often somewhat off-beat pottery. An Italian, he worked in the United Kingdom from the early 1960s. He started his own studio in Kensington Church Street, London, in 1961. In the late 1970s he moved to Rye, Sussex, and rented space from David Sharp at The Mint.

In the early 1980s his father died and he returned to Italy, but is now back in the United Kingdom.
