Bobergs Fajansfabrik was founded at Gefle (now called Gävel), Sweden by Erik Boberg in 1874. Originally producing domestic goods, the company started making decorative wares early in the 20th century.
Boberg was at its height in the 1930s, but production decreased during the following decades and in the mid-1960s they were bought by Steninge Keramik, and finally closed down in the late 1970s.
